I'm looking to build a private photo sharing platform for personal use and small friend groups. The idea is similar to Google Photos but with a social twist — users can create accounts, upload photos, and organise them into albums. Each album can be set to private, shared with specific people, or fully public.
Key features I need:
- User registration and login (email + social login via Google)
- Photo upload with drag-and-drop support, bulk uploads, and automatic thumbnail generation
- Album management: create, rename, delete, reorder photos
- Sharing: invite friends via email or shareable link, with per-album permission levels (view only, or contribute)
- Contribution approvals: album owners can review and approve/reject photos submitted by collaborators before they appear in the album
- Comments and reactions on individual photos
- A "memories" feature that surfaces photos from the same date in previous years
- Mobile-friendly responsive design — ideally a PWA so it can be added to a home screen
- Admin panel to manage users and reported content
